Artist's Comments
The big cat exhibit at our zoo is surrounded by a "Catwalk"...(not my pun....) that allows you to literally walk almost directly over the top of the exhibits. This particular photo was taken from directly above this gentleman. Since at this point the catwalk was about 60 feet above the floor, I used the zoom feature of my camera to get a bit closer. Referring to the title, because of the zooming, and the forced focus, what you see between the lions and me are not bars, but one single section of the chain link fence on the side of the catwalk railing.
